The Viessmann range
Viessmann's domestic range centres on its Vitodens series, with combi and system versions in several outputs to suit different homes. The range changes over time, so check Viessmann's own website for the current line-up — and remember that the right output for your home matters more than the badge on the case.
What Viessmann is known for
Viessmann boilers are built around a stainless steel heat exchanger, which resists the corrosion that shortens the life of cheaper materials. The brand has a reputation among engineers for solid build quality and sensible internal layout, which makes servicing and repairs more straightforward.
Reputation aside, no brand is the right answer for every house. The best boiler is the one sized correctly for your radiators and hot water use, fitted carefully, with the system cleaned properly at the same time.
Choosing the right output
Combi boilers are sized by their hot water flow rate as much as their heating output. A small flat and a four-bed house with two showers need very different things from the same range.
Chris surveys your home before quoting — checking radiators, bathrooms, gas supply and flue route — and recommends an output that matches how your household actually uses heat and hot water. Our boiler installation page explains the process.
Warranties and registration
Like other manufacturers, Viessmann offers warranties whose length depends on the model, registration and how the boiler is installed. Read Viessmann's current terms for the exact model you're considering. Whatever brand you choose, the boiler must be fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer and serviced every year to keep the warranty valid — our boiler warranty guide explains the conditions in plain terms.
If your Viessmann boiler is not working
Already have a Viessmann that's playing up? Note the fault code on the display before you call — it helps narrow the problem down quickly. Check the simple things first: pressure in the right range, power and gas supply on, and the condensate pipe not frozen in cold weather. If it still won't run, our boiler repairs page explains how we handle fault finding.
Servicing a Viessmann
An annual service keeps a Viessmann running efficiently and keeps its warranty conditions satisfied. The service covers the flue, burner, seals and safety checks, and the condensate trap is cleaned. You can book through our boiler servicing page.
Getting a price
The boiler itself is only part of the total — flue changes, controls, a system clean, filter and any pipework alterations all add up. Our new boiler cost guide explains each factor. For a figure for your home, use the new boiler quote page or call 07429 632804.
