How we handle the details you send us through this website.
This website is run by C Gill & Son Plumbing & Heating, a family-run plumbing and heating business based in Briton Ferry, Neath. We are responsible for the personal information you send us through this website. This policy explains, in plain English, what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and what your rights are under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
When you use the enquiry form on this website, we collect the details you type in:
We use these details only to reply to your enquiry, arrange a visit if one is needed and give you a quote for the work. If you call, WhatsApp or email us instead, we use the details you give us in the same way.
We rely on two lawful bases. The first is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract — for example, preparing a quote you have asked for. The second is our legitimate interests in running the business, responding to people who contact us and keeping sensible records of the work we have quoted for.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list. We only share your details beyond the providers above if the law requires us to.
We keep your enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with your request. Where we have quoted for work, we keep a record of that enquiry and quote for up to 2 years, then delete it.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is wrong, to ask us to delete it, and to object to us using it. To make a request, just contact us using the details below and we will respond as soon as we can.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please get in touch with us before going to the ICO.
