The small jobs that still matter

A dripping tap, a toilet that will not flush properly or a stopcock that has seized up rarely feels urgent — until the day it is. These are the jobs that keep a house running, and they are worth doing properly rather than living with them. A leaking tap wastes water and can stain the sink; a toilet leaking at its base can quietly rot a floor.

Chris has spent 25 years in the trade, so there is very little in a domestic plumbing system he has not seen. Send a photo on WhatsApp or use the quote form, describe the problem, and you will get a straightforward answer on what is involved.

What is emergency plumbing?

Emergency plumbing means a problem that cannot wait: water actively leaking, a burst pipe, or no water at all. If that is you now, ring 07429 632804 rather than sending a form — Chris will tell you honestly whether and when he can attend. Our emergency plumber page explains what to do first, and burst pipe repair covers the worst case.

A hidden leak that is not yet causing damage is different. Our leak detection service traces it methodically before any floor or wall is opened.

How much does emergency plumbing cost?

There is no honest fixed figure, because the cost depends on the fault, where it is and what it takes to reach it. A straightforward repair at a sensible hour is very different from tracing a leak under a solid floor. What we can promise is that Chris will explain what is needed before work starts, so you can decide with the facts in front of you.

Common questions

Plumbing services FAQs

Clear answers before you arrange a visit.

How much is emergency plumbing?+

It depends on the fault, access and the parts needed. Ring 07429 632804, describe what has happened, and Chris will give you an honest idea of what is involved before anyone sets off.

What is considered emergency plumbing?+

Anything causing active damage or leaving you without water or sanitation: a burst pipe, a serious leak, or a toilet that cannot be used in a one-bathroom home. A dripping tap is annoying but rarely an emergency.

Do you take on small plumbing jobs?+

Yes. Toilets, taps, stopcocks, outside taps, towel rails and washing machine connections are all part of the work we do for local homeowners.

Can I send photos before booking?+

Yes — WhatsApp is the easiest way. Photos of the tap, toilet or pipework help Chris bring the right parts.
