The closest town to our base
C Gill & Son is based on Church Street in Briton Ferry, which is part of the Neath area, so Neath is the town we spend most of our time in. Being this close makes a practical difference: it's the easiest place for us to fit in a boiler service between larger jobs, pop back to check a repair, or come and look at a problem before quoting.

Neath homes and their heating
Much of Neath's housing is older: stone-built and brick terraces in the town and the surrounding villages, many dating back to the industrial years, alongside inter-war and post-war semis and newer estates around the edges. In the valley villages, homes are often built into the hillside, which can mean awkward access to the back of the property and long runs for flues and condensate pipes.
