Port Talbot is right next door to our Briton Ferry base, so an annual boiler service there is about as local as our work gets — easy to book, easy to fit around your day.

Next door, so easy to fit in
Our base in Briton Ferry sits right beside Port Talbot, so servicing here is flexible. We can often find a slot at fairly short notice, and if there is another small job — a dripping tap, a sticky radiator valve — it can usually be done on the same visit. We cover Aberavon, Sandfields, Baglan, Margam, Taibach, and up through Cwmafan into the Afan Valley.
Pick your moment: late summer
Most people remember the boiler the first cold morning in October, which is when everyone else does too. Booking in late summer or early autumn means the boiler is checked before it starts working hard, and any worn part can be replaced before you rely on it.
What Chris checks
Flue gas readings to confirm safe, clean combustion
Burner and heat exchanger condition
Flue route, terminal and ventilation
Condensate trap and pipe

Valley homes and long heating seasons
Up in Cwmafan and the Afan Valley, homes sit higher and colder than those on the seafront at Aberavon, and boilers run for more of the year. The postwar semis of Sandfields and Baglan often have systems that have never been cleaned. A service is a good point to ask whether a power flush or a magnetic filter would help.
