Walk around Penyrheol or the roads off Gorseinon's high street and most homes date from the interwar years or the post-1945 building boom. Those houses were plumbed for coal fires or early back boilers, and the central heating went in later — often in stages, by different people, over several decades.
The result is familiar: a front room radiator that is far too small, microbore pipe feeding an extension, a cylinder cupboard that no longer needs to exist, and a programmer with two settings. Each of those is fixable, and Chris will tell you which changes earn their keep and which can wait.
From Loughor to Grovesend

Is it time for a combi?
Many Gorseinon semis still have a tank in the loft and a cylinder on the landing. Converting to a combi frees the airing cupboard and removes the loft tank, but it is not always right — a household with two bathrooms in use at once may be better on a system boiler. Chris surveys first and explains the trade-off before you decide.
